Little Libraries Initiative

KDB Book DriveThe Little Libraries Project is a Keep Douglas Beautiful project aimed at protecting the environment, education, and literacy in our community. The Keep Douglas Beautiful Committee has partnered with local citizens to provide Little Libraries in several neighborhood parks. The Little Libraries initiative hopes to promote literacy and foster a sense of community throughout Douglas.

Retired educators and neighborhood volunteers help support this initiative by assisting with the maintenance and stocking of books for the project.

Special thanks to Little Libraries partners: City of Douglas, Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce, Coffee County Community Foundation, Douglas Lions Club, Black Stone Builders, Douglas Utilities Department, Haley Randleman with Coffee County Middle School 8th grade art students, Rebecca Waldroup with George Washington Carver Freshman Campus 9th grade art students, Coffee County Schools, and the Douglas community.
