[ARCHIVED] SOUTH GEORGIA OUTDOOR EXPO TO BE HELD AUG. 23 & AUG. 24 AT CENTRAL SQUARE COMPLEX

The South Georgia Outdoor Expo will be held at Central Square Complex in downtown Douglas, August 23, 2013 from 1pm-7pm and August 24, 2013 9am-5pm. Vendors will fill the grounds and both exhibit halls at Central Square Complex with items relating to outdoor apparel, hunting gear, ATVs, boats, hunting/camping trips, fishing accessories, and more specialty outdoor merchandise.

The Wild Game Supper will be held on Thursday, Aug. 22nd with Jimmy Sites, host of Spiritual Outdoor Adventures, as the guest speaker. Tickets are $15.00 and are on sale now at the Central Services Department located at 200 S. Madison Avenue. Sponsors for the Wild Game Supper are Gopher Plantation, National Wild Turkey Federation, McRae Coca Cola Bottling Company, and Georgia Hunting & Fishing Federation.

Steve Scruggs, Rocky Snakemaster "Snakes Alive" educational seminar will have special performances on Friday and Saturday presented by Rocky and Norris Shoe Store. Keith Johnson and his 4000 gallon mobile “Bass Tub” aquarium will be on-hand with fishing demonstrations. For those attending who want to try their hand at actually catching some fish, there will be the Lawton Trout Farm “Catch and Release” Pool. The impressive Outdoor Channel Outfitters World Record Exhibit will be on display for attendees. Attendees will be able to meet and greet, T.V. celebrity, Jimmy Sites, host of Spiritual Outdoor Adventures, on Friday, August 23, 1:00pm-5:00pm. On Saturday, attendees will be able to participate in a free workshop, “How to Go From Amateur to Pro” with America’s Favorite Fisherman, Jimmy Houston at 10am in the Dogwood Meeting Room. Houston, a nationally known bass angler and host of the #1 Outdoors Show, will also be on available during the show from 11am-2pm for autographs and photos. Attendees will experience a two day event that is packed with live demonstrations, hands-on activities, and more fun for the entire family.
