Public Hearing for Conditional Use Application by Owners for an Event Center to Operate in Light Industrial (M-1) District
The City of Douglas has received an application for Conditional Use. Reginald McRae and Sonia Young, the property owners, seek permission to operate an event center in the Light Industrial (M-1) District in accordance with the provisions of the City of Douglas Zoning Ordinance. The proposed event center is located at 760 Railroad Street, Douglas, GA 31533.
The Douglas-Coffee County Planning Commission will have its regular meeting to discuss this request on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chambers, located at 302 S Madison Avenue Douglas, GA 31533.
After discussion by the Planning Commission, the request, along with a public hearing, will be made before the Mayor and City Commissioners for consideration, approving, or denying the request on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, located at 302 S. Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533.
Anyone interested or with feedback regarding the Conditional Use request should appear at the meetings on the above dates. A copy of the conditional use request may be reviewed at City Hall in the Community Development Department, Planning Division, 302 S. Madison Avenue, Douglas, GA 31533, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Holiday hours may differ. The review may occur between now and May 13, 2024, by 5:00 p.m.
