The City of Douglas, Georgia proposes to institute annexation proceedings to enlarge and extend the boundary limits of said city to include the following described territory, to-wit:
All that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in Original Land Lots NO.194 & 221 in the 6th Land District in The City of Douglas, and Coffee County, Georgia, and being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing a point being marked by a ½” iron pin located on the Southeast Right of Way intersection of Brantley Blvd. (80’ R/W) & Shantel Drive (60’ R/W)
thence N 77°54'35" E a distance of 222.07' along the South Right of Way of Shantel Drive (80’ R/W) to a point being marked by a 5/8” rebar; which is the Point of Beginning.

thence with a curve turning to the left with an arc length of 131.16', with a radius of 60.00', with a chord bearing of N 81°21'23" E, with a chord length of 106.56', along the South Right of Way of Shantel Drive (80’ R/W) to a point being marked by a 5/8” rebar
thence N 78°43'52" E a distance of 194.31' along the lands of Rockin & Cinemas, LLC. to a point being marked by a 5/8” rebar;
thence S 00°40'00" E a distance of 150.01' along the lands of Rockin & Cinemas, LLC. to a point being marked by a 5/8” rebar;
thence N 88°41'28" E a distance of 135.43' along the lands of Rockin & Cinemas, LLC. to a point being marked by a 5/8” rebar;
thence N 88°41'28" E a distance of 46.67' along the lands of Hattie Mae Harkleroad to a calculated position;
thence S 00°15'33" W a distance of 33.94' along the lands of McKinnon Family properties, LLC. to a point being marked by a 5/8” rebar;
thence S 00°15'33" W a distance of 161.84' along the lands of McKinnon Family properties, LLC. to a point being marked by a 5/8” rebar;
thence S 78°44'05" W a distance of 243.67' along the lands of McKinnon Family properties, LLC. & Cecil Holt to a Calculated position.
thence N 00°35'22" W a distance of 4.32' along the lands of Elite Granit & tile, LLC. to a point being marked by a 5/8” rebar;
thence N 00°35'22" W a distance of 160.23' along the lands of Elite Granit & tile, LLC. to a point being marked by a 5/8” rebar;
thence S 78°43'29" W a distance of 343.45' along the lands of Elite Granit & tile, LLC. to a point being marked by a 5/8” rebar;
thence N 00°35'22" W a distance of 216.24' along the land of McKinnon Rentals, LLC> to a point being marked by a 5/8” rebar which is the point of beginning,
said property have an area of 3.01 acres.
Said tract of land is as shown on a plat prepared by Statewide Surveying Company dated May 31, 2023.
A public hearing will be held by and before the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Douglas, Georgia on the 12th day of February, 2024 at 6 o’clock p.m. in the Commission Chambers of City Hall, 302 S Madison Douglas, GA 31533. Anyone interested in the above proposed annexation should be in appearance at the said meeting on the above-stated date. At said time and place all such persons shall have the right to appear and be heard. Of all said matters and things, all persons interested in the things and matters herein mentioned, will take notice.
