[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC NOTICE - Height Variance Application for Lupo Lane Subdivision

The City of Douglas has received a request for a height variance for a multi-family (apartment), subdivision development by Journey North (developer), that will provide approximately 126 dwelling units. The location of the subdivision request is parcel 0117B 008, which is a vacant lot that lies between the Hunters Run Apartments 701 Lupo Lane and the former location of the Knollwood Tire & Wheel Warehouse Tire Shop 503 Lupo Lane.

A public hearing will be held before the Mayor and City Commissioners, to approve or deny the request on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 6:00 PM held at City Hall 302 S Madison Avenue Douglas, GA 31533 in the Council Chambers.

Anyone interested or has feedback regarding the variance request should be in appearance at the said meeting on the above-stated date. A copy of the variance request may be reviewed at City Hall in the Community Development Department, Planning Division, 302 S Madison Avenue Douglas, GA 31533, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Holiday hours may differ. City of Douglas offices will be closed on December 22, 2023, for the observance of Christmas and Monday, January 1, 2024 for New Year's Day. The review may take place between now through January 5, 2024 by 5:00 PM.
