[ARCHIVED] MCNEIL DRIVE WILL RE-OPEN ON MONDAY, JULY 18

rOAD wORK uPDATE

Previously, the City of Douglas announced McNeil Drive would re-open on Saturday, however, a longer amount of drying time is required for the concrete areas of the road. To allow extra drying time, McNeil Drive will re-open Monday morning, July 18, 2022. Semi-trucks will need to continue to use Gaskin Avenue and Walker Street until Monday, July 18, 2022 morning.  

The road work is a result of road repairs relating to the recent water main break, McNeil Drive in Douglas is currently closed.  Public Works crews are working to re-open McNeil Drive on Saturday, July 16, 2022, by 12Noon.  City of Douglas and ESG Operations Public Works employees poured concrete to repair the road on Friday, July 15, 2022.  Once McNeil Drive re-opens, all semi-trucks will need to return to utilizing McNeil Drive for business on Monday, July 18, 2022.
