The City of Douglas cordially invites you to attend a Civil Rights Plaque dedication at the Gladys Coley Resource Center located at 608 Roper Street in Douglas. The plaque will be dedicated in honor of Johnnie L. Roper, Gladys Coley, Jackie Clara Allen, Elisha Harrell, Rev. Woodrow Gaskin, Frank Jackson, Mary Garman, Lilly Toombs, Oscar Street, and J.D. Murray for their efforts in pursuing civil rights in Douglas and Coffee County during the 1960s - 1980s.
