The Bikes, Blues, and BBQ Festival will be held in Douglas on Friday, March 28 and on Saturday, March 29. Activities will include a BBQ Competition, NAPA/Brooks Auto Car Show, Motorcycle Show, Poker Run, displays of vintage aircraft, and Live Blues Bands under the sun and stars!
“We are thrilled to team with NAPA/Brooks Auto to offer a quality Car Show during the Bikes, Blues, and BBQ Festival,” says Georgia Henderson, Public Information Department Director. “Partnering with Brooks Auto will allow organizers to have contact with car enthusiasts all over the Southeast and make the Car Show a success.”
Persons wishing to participate in the Car Show should contact Ray Kight at 912-384-7818 or 912-393-4309. Registration for the car show will be on Saturday, March 29, 9am-11am with fees being $15 per car and $10 for each additional entry. Judging begins 11am-2pm with winners being announced at 3:30pm from the Blues Entertainment Stage. Prizes will awarded for Peoples’ Choice, Top 20 in Show, best paint, best interior, and best engine. Prizes will include trophies and cash for the best of winners, along with Dash plaques for the first 60 entries. All entries will be registered for door prizes.
The Bikes, Blues and BBQ Festival will open at 1pm on Friday at the Douglas Municipal Gene Chambers Airport on 441 South. On Saturday, the Festival will be open to the public from 9am – 5pm. General gate admission is $5.00 per car or $2.00 per motorcycle.
