The City of Douglas Fire Department will begin testing hydrants on Sunday, March 17, 2013 and will continue through Friday, March 29, 2013. Hydrant testing will start at 10:00pm each night when there is minimum traffic and continue until 4:00am each morning.
During hydrant testing water will be become cloudy, so let the water run until it becomes clear. This will clear the line of any rust that might have dislodged from the pipes. Before washing clothes or cooking, please let the water run clear.
