[ARCHIVED] Public Notice - Certificate Of Appropriateness for 801 N. Madison Ave.

The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) of Douglas has received a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) application to add a building to the rear of the primary building on the existing concrete slab located at 801 N. Madison Avenue, which is located in the Gaskin Avenue Local Historic District

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held to review the submitted COA by the HPC at City Hall, located at 302 S. Madison Ave., Douglas, GA 31533, at their monthly meeting held on May 22, 2025, at 4:00 PM.

The applications can be reviewed at the City of Douglas Community Development Department, Planning & Zoning Division, 302 S. Madison Ave., Douglas, GA 31533, between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (EST), Monday through Friday. Holiday hours may differ. Requests for reviews of the application may be made until May 22, 2025, by 4:00 PM.

Anyone interested in or having any comments, queries, or concerns regarding these locations should attend any meeting and/or the public hearing on the above-stated date.
