[ARCHIVED] PUBLIC NOTICE: Distance Zoning Variance Application by Local Apothecary

The City of Douglas has received an application for a distance zoning variance from a local apothecary. The location of the apothecary requesting the zoning variance is 901 Baker Hwy. W Douglas, GA 31533.

The Douglas-Coffee County Planning Commission will have a regular meeting discussing this request on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chambers, located at 302 S Madison Avenue Douglas, GA 31533.   

After discussion by the Planning Commission, the petition, along with a public hearing, will be made before the Mayor and City Commissioners for consideration, approving or denying the petition on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 6:00 PM at City Hall, located at 302 S Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533.

Anyone interested in or with feedback regarding the variance application should attend the said meetings on the above-stated dates. A copy of the variance application may be reviewed at City Hall in the Community Development Department, Planning & Zoning Division, 302 S. Madison Avenue Douglas, GA 31533, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Holiday hours may differ. City of Douglas offices will be closed on November 11, 2024, for Veterans Day. The review may take place between now and November 25, 2024, by 5:00p.m.
