[ARCHIVED] SIGN UP NOW FOR 2013 DOUGLAS 101: CITIZENS ACADEMY PROGRAM

Would you like to learn more about your local government? If so, you should sign up now for the FREE Douglas 101: Citizen’s Academy program. Students of this program will learn about the day to day operations of the different departments that help to run the City.

“We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn more about the operations of the City of Douglas,” says Terrell Jacobs, City Manager. “The classes will be informative with hands-on activities and tours of departments.”

Class dates will be determined once 12-20 participants are registered. To participate in the class, you must be at least 18 years of age and able to attend the sessions on Tuesday nights beginning at 6pm. There will be one Saturday morning tour scheduled for the class and one Monday night session for students to sit in on a City Commission meeting.
