On Saturday, December 12, 2020, the Douglas Police and Douglas Fire Department teamed up for the community to host a toy drive to raise funds and gather toys for the Community Toy Drive this year. An estimated $2,000 in cash and several toys were collected in a 4 hour period. “Our community whole heartedly showed true Christmas Spirit on Saturday,” says Patrick West, DPD Community Relations Officer. “From young to old, everyone wanted to help these families provide Christmas for their kids. Thanks to everyone who donated to help children in our community have Christmas this year.” Special thanks to Walmart Store for allowing our public safety agencies to collect at their business.
