PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE - Community Development Block Grant – Post Award Hearing CDBG#20p-z-034-2-6128

The City of Douglas and the Coffee County Commission will hold a Public Hearing on November 18, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Douglas City Hall, 224 E. Bryan Street, Douglas, Georgia, for the purpose of discussing the approved activities of the City & County’s Community Development Block Grant Program.  On October 16, 2020, the City of Douglas and the Coffee County Commission was awarded a grant in the amount of $750,000 (CDBG#20p-z-034-2-6128) for the new construction of a mental health & substance abuse disorder outpatient and day services facility.

Items to be discussed at the Hearing include:

·  The amount of funds received and a description of the activities

· The amount of funds available for each activity and the amount of funds that will benefit low and moderate income persons.

·  The plan, if applicable, to minimize or prevent displacement of persons and the plan to assist persons who may be displaced.

·  Fair Housing laws and the City of Douglas’ & Coffee County Commission’s plan to further Fair     

    Housing.
