Applications must be completely filled out and submitted before the job deadline. They will remain active for 30 days from the date of signature (60 days for police and fire applicants). Applicants must file new applications as new positions become available.

TITLE VI
The City of Douglas is committed to ensuring compliance and works to make certain that all management, staff and service recipients are aware of the provisions and responsibilities of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity that receives Federal funds or other Federal financial assistance. All programs and operations of entities that receive assistance from the federal government must comply with provisions outlined under this Act.
The Grant Administrator of the Community Development Department is responsible for implementing, monitoring and ensuring the City of Douglas' compliance with Title VI of the City Rights Acts of 1964.

New Applicants for Police & Fire Department - 1st Phase Letter
As a condition of employment with the City of Douglas Public Safety Departments, all certified and non-certified candidates are required to present a sealed Compass Test transcript and participate in a physical agility assessment. The cost of the Compass Test is your responsibility. Please contact Wiregrass Georgia Technical College or the certified testing site of your choice to determine testing dates and times and also let the certified testing facility administrator know you will be required to take the Reading, Writing, and Numerical portions of the test. You must bring the sealed test results with you to the physical agility assessment when notified.
Certified persons may apply year round at the Human Resource Department located at 224 E. Bryan Street.
